Sir Alex Ferguson's final campaign as Manchester United manager covered in detail by ESPN correspondent Mark Payne.
Fergie Last Stand A Correspondent Diary 2012/13 eBook Mark Payne
I found my experience with this book kind of strange. It was released in 2013, right after the departure of Ferguson and the last title for United. Had I read it then I might have had a different experience, but seen through the lens of the last few years it's a strange one. The opening discusses the potential of people such as Nani, Cleverly and Anderson, all now long gone, the diary format is weird at this point. I read Mark's articles on ESPNFC and other sources regularly so reading them in a book format one after the other created this strange sense of deja vu.So in summary, it's enjoyable but in a strange kind of warped history way. It's interesting to read the season developing but the intervening years have given it a really different feel. It feels disjointed at time due to "article" approach. I would recommend it as a book to dip into rather than try to read end to end.
